He, essentially, inserts the dogs into his empty eye sockets and this somehow makes him very powerful. You play a person whose dogs are stolen by a monster named Glorkon. StoryĮver bizarre, the story of the game is quite simple. Now, fair forewarning, this game is chock full of interesting things to look at but it is by no means as fully fleshed out as games like HALF LIFE: ALYX or Blood and Truth, it’s a bit closer to Moss, that game with the little mouse. Even if you go VR-less, you’ll still love the game. This all works really well in tandem with the VR capabilities, but that’s not to say it doesn’t work without it. Maybe you enjoy a more personal view at eye level but the mess of combat makes it hard to see anything. Maybe you can’t see him or his enemies because your view is blocked. What’s interesting about that is that you may encounter issues with your field of view when at a disadvantageous height compared to Trover. There are unlockable and upgradable aspects of your chair that will allow for you to traverse the world in different ways, one such upgrade is the ability to move your chair to three distinct heights. I know that may sound weird but it actually translates really well. Trover, the person the player controls, however, is free to run and jump around like a full-on adventure game hero and he will do the majority of the fighting and talking for you. The player is confined to their chair so a large portion of their movement is teleporting from place to place.
